Shame-Free Conversations

Shame-Free Conversations is a CAPSA initiative designed to equip adults with the skills and confidence to navigate conversations around difficult topics, such as mental health, relationships, and safety, without shame or stigma. Through practical tools and approachable frameworks, this series empowers parents, caregivers, educators, and youth leaders to foster open, supportive, and protective environments where meaningful dialogue can thrive.

SAFE Adult

The SAFE Adult training, the first in CAPSA’s Shame Free Conversations series, is a 45-minute session designed to equip parents, caregivers, and youth-serving leaders with practical tools to have important, shame-free conversations. Using the SAFE framework (Specific, Approachable, Feelings, Empower), participants learn how to foster environments where youth feel empowered, supported, and protected. While the training applies the framework specifically to mental health concerns, it also provides a foundation for navigating any difficult topic.

The next SAFE Adult training will be held on August 13th at 7:00 pm in CAPSA’s training room.
