What is Upstanding?
Upstanding is empowering individuals to stand up against violence and overcome the norm to be a bystander.
Additional Definitions
Bystander
A person who is present when an incident happens, but is not directly involved in what is taking place.
Intervention
Doing something to prevent or interrupt any harm or injury of another person or group.
The goal of Upstanding is to move us from being bystanders to Upstanders. By stepping in when someone is being harmed or needs help, we can prevent future harm and violence.
