MacKenzie (Kenzie) Madden and Johnathon Sadler tragically lost their lives on July 14, 2014, victims of domestic violence perpetrated by Kenzie’s former boyfriend. To honor their memory and the profound impact of their lives, Carrie and Jim Madden (Kenzie’s parents), with the blessing of Susannah Randall (Johnathon’s mother), have established the CAPSA Mackenzie Madden and Johnathon Sadler Endowment. This fund is dedicated to advancing the vital work of CAPSA by providing support and resources to individuals affected by domestic violence.

Carrie Madden Shares Kenzie’s Story

In this heartfelt video, Carrie Madden shares Kenzie’s story — a story of a passionate and bubbly young woman with aspirations in law enforcement. While studying sociology and psychology at Utah State University, Kenzie also held an internship at the Logan City Police Department. She was just one semester away from completing a minor in criminal justice and had plans to attend the police academy after turning 21. Tragically, instead of celebrating her new beginnings, Kenzie was laid to rest on her 20th birthday.
