October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

When we Stand Together, HOPE BEGINS

Domestic Violence Awareness Month, observed every October, serves as a vital reminder of the harrowing reality faced by countless individuals within our communities. Throughout this month, we invite our community to stand together to educate, raise awareness, and inspire change. By illuminating the harsh realities of domestic violence, we pave the way for empathy, support, and meaningful action, fostering a community where safety, respect, and empowerment are at the forefront of our efforts.

Training Segments

During the month of October we will be posting trainings weekly on the following topics:

  • What is Domestic Violence?
  • What Services Can CAPSA Provide for Survivors of Domestic Violence?
  • How can you support survivors of domestic violence in your personal life?
  • How can you support survivors of domestic violence in the workplace (what is the intersection of DV and work)

Please share these links with your team. If you are interested in additional information or full length trainings, reach out to alyna@capsa.org.

Raise Awareness through your Newsletter

If you send out a newsletter, during the month of October, we invite you to share a message with your staff showing your support to survivors of domestic violence, and increasing awareness of available resources.

“October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. CAPSA is our local Domestic Violence Support Center and stands at the forefront of this movement. As we stand together to spread awareness and understanding, let us be aware of those who may be suffering. Together, we can create a community where safety, respect, and compassion triumph. Learn more about how CAPSA is making a difference by visiting www.capsa.org.

Let’s stand together to shine a light on this important cause and work towards a future free from violence.

If you or someone you know is in need of support, we are here to support or you can reach CAPSA directly at 435-753-2500.”
